2. What data we process and why
Problem reports
When you report a problem we store the company, the type of problem, the date and time and a pseudonymised identifier of your IP address (an irreversible “hash”). This identifier is only used to prevent duplicate reports and abuse, and it is deleted automatically after 24 hours. Reports, without any identifier, are kept for a maximum of 30 days to produce statistics.
Comments
If you post a comment we store the name you enter (optional; you may use a nickname), the text, the date and a pseudonymised identifier of your IP address to prevent spam, which is deleted after 30 days. Comments are public: do not include personal data in them.
Contact form
We process your name, email address, subject, message and, for security reasons, the IP address and browser from which you send it, solely to answer your request. Messages are kept for a maximum of 12 months.
Technical data
Like any website, the server records technical data needed for its operation and security (for example, the IP address and the page requested) for as long as strictly necessary.
3. Legal basis
- Reports, comments and security: our legitimate interest in providing the service and protecting it against abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Contact form: your consent and handling your request (Art. 6(1)(a) and 6(1)(b) GDPR).
4. Recipients
We do not sell or share your data. Only the providers that supply us with technical services (web hosting and email) have access to it, under the corresponding data processing agreement. If Cloudflare Turnstile security verification is enabled on the contact form, Cloudflare will process technical data from your browser to tell humans and robots apart. We will only disclose data to the authorities where required by law.
5. Cookies and local storage
The public pages of DetectorEstado do not set their own tracking or advertising cookies. Your light or dark mode preference is stored only in your browser (local storage) and is not sent to the server. The administration panel uses a strictly necessary technical session cookie. If third-party services such as advertising or analytics are added in the future, this policy will be updated and, where the law requires it, your consent will be requested before using non-essential cookies.
6. Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to the address above or using the contact form. Please note that, because the data is pseudonymised, we may sometimes be unable to identify your reports. If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or with the supervisory authority of your country.
7. Children
DetectorEstado is not aimed at children under 14, who should not send us personal data.
8. Security and changes
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures (encrypted connection, pseudonymisation, minimisation and periodic deletion of data). We may update this policy; the date of the last revision appears at the end of this page.
