What is DetectorEstado?
DetectorEstado is a free tool that shows in real time whether a company or online service is having problems. It collects the reports that users send when something stops working: their internet connection, a banking app, a social network, a streaming platform, a video game or a government website.
When many people report a problem with the same service within a short time, it is very likely to be a widespread outage rather than an issue with your device or connection. That way you know within seconds whether it is worth restarting your router or simply waiting.
How to use the tool
- Look up the company or service using the search box or the A-Z directory.
- Check the status indicator and the chart with the reports from the last 24 hours.
- If you have a problem, click the button that best describes it: it is anonymous and takes one click.
- Read other users’ comments, add yours and share the page to let more people know.
Frequently asked questions
What is DetectorEstado?
It is a free, independent service that shows whether a company or online service is having problems right now, based on reports sent by users.
Where does the data come from?
From users themselves: every time someone clicks a report button, it is added to that company’s chart. We compare the number of recent reports with the usual volume to work out the status.
Do I need to sign up or pay?
No. Checking the status, reporting a problem and commenting are free and do not require an account.
How do I know if a service is down for everyone?
If the indicator shows “Problems detected” and the chart shows a spike in reports, the issue probably affects many users. If there are no reports, the problem may be with your device or connection.
Why can’t I find the company I’m looking for?
You can ask us to add it using the support contact form, including the name of the service and its official website.
Can I rely on the status shown?
It is an indicative signal based on user reports. It does not replace the official information from each company, which is the only one that can confirm an incident.
